Silvia Salinas Blemker, Ph.D., Professor of Biomedical Engineering at UVA and CSO and co-founder of Springbok Analytics, was featured as a faculty founder in the February 2026 edition of Innovation Insights.
Her work with Springbok shows how deep scholarship, paired with the right support, can become meaningful impact beyond Grounds. Enterprise Studio — powered by UVA Innovates and housed within the Licensing & Ventures Group — supports faculty across disciplines as they turn research into companies, partnerships and real-world solutions, from company formation and strategy to partnerships and scale.
