The Schools · where founders come from
College & Graduate School of Arts & Sciences
The largest student body at UVA.
Overview
Arts & Sciences is the ecosystem’s biggest single opportunity. Its students reach entrepreneurship today by routing outward — through the University-wide minor, the Foundry and Batten’s i.Lab — because the school has no entrepreneurship center, venture fund or innovation office of its own.
- Entrepreneurship Minor — administered by McIntire, open to every A&S major
- Minor in Social Entrepreneurship — anchored at the Batten School
- The Foundry — open to any student, any discipline, no application
- A&S teams in the 2026 Batten i.Lab summer cohort
- E-Cup Social Entrepreneurship and Consumer tracks, built for non-technical founders
